I am young, yet I search for so much. I study psychology and literature officially but this seems to be my daily life as I live it. I grasp intellect and variety at every opportunity. Art and the emotions that flow through it are my entire being. The things I want far surpass the expectations of the world. So I continue searching.

I think I’m just too complex to be okay with keeping everything to myself. Being alone can become painful.

The war in my heart shows no sign of a cease fire, because I owe the Mellark kid more than my life for saving hers, but seeing them there, with his lips on hers, I could kill him. That old flare inside me, like when wild dogs would chase us; that instant urge to push her behind me. I try to tell myself that it’s because I still see her as a kid, but it’s hopeless, because there she is, right in front of me. She’s not a kid, she’s a woman.
